From our Twinsburg facility, we have served over 25,000 animals over the past 13 years. Many precious lives have been saved and happy endings found at our current shelter. We have grown our programs to address the needs of our community and promote animal welfare throughout Summit County.
Over the years, animal sheltering has evolved. We now know animals heal and remain healthier in a therapeutic environment with quieter spaces and ample natural light and ventilation. For the people we engage with, a warm, welcoming shelter is a place our community will want to come to adopt, engage, volunteer, and work. Our strongest assets are the people who care deeply for this mission - supporters, donors, adoptors, staff, and volunteers. Together, we can make a better future possible for animals.
Over the past 18 months, some of our closest friends and supporters have made leading gifts to launch the construction of the new building. We have achieved 75% of our funding goal to date. The new shelter will be made possible entirely by donors who are giving above and beyond the annual support needed to rescue, care for, and adopt the animals we serve today. This investment will serve animals for decades to come, and we hope you will join us!
