MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:

Hello VASS Nation,

I am SO EXCITED to report that we will be back in action this coming season. There are still lots of details we are working out, so please be patient as we quickly update the website and our Snowline registration system. I have missed you, all and am looking forward to creating many new incredible memories together.

We are still in the planning stages, but I can share a few things with you now:

Instructor Registration will begin on Friday, October 1st... and we will have an amazing contest for those that signup in the first weekend. Details to be released in a couple of weeks, but it will include the opportunity to be one of the first instructors to try our new TETRASKI, and have a chance to ski it with sip and puff technology. Click here to see a short video.

Student registration will be Sunday, October 17th @ 8am... As soon as all of the details are available, I will send another email to everyone. It looks like we will be running all of our previous programs along with a robust DROP-IN program to try to get as many people on the mountains this year as possible

Annual General Meeting, November 3, 7pm on ZOOM... This is our chance to share with our membership how the business of VASS is progressing. All registered VASS members, over the age of 16, are welcome to attend. If you have an interest in potentially sitting on the Board of Directors, please send me an email and we can discuss more about the role and include you in the vote, to be held that night. An official invite will come out to everyone, closer to the date, so you can get all of the details.

MOVIE NIGHT, November 16... Making its return to the big screen combined with an online auction fundraiser, will help us kick off the year. We will be featuring a new SKI MOVIE, as we have done in years past. Details will be following in the next few weeks, as we ensure all Covid Protocols are being met with the venue. Stay tuned.

There are many more things in the works and it is going to be an EPIC season. I am sure all of your questions will be answered in the next few newsletters, but if you have any burning questions, I am available via email or phone, 604 646 8277.

Thank you so much for your continued commitment to VASS, both as students, instructors, and all those other people that help us Make the Mountains Accessible to All.

Best,

James Peters

This is a picture James in the SnowKart, doing some training. This is amazing piece of equipment for people with lower balance and good upper body strength. Training will be offered to anyone that is interested in helping out with the SnowKart and the Tetraski this season. Look for an invite in the next newsletter.
