Dear Charting Careers Friends and Family,

As we approach a Thanksgiving that will likely look very different this year, there is still so much to be grateful for. I am especially thankful for our Charting Careers community, including our scholars and their families, our mentors, tutors, donors, supporters, partners, staff, and board. I feel incredibly fortunate every day to work with such a dedicated group of people on such a critical mission-- to break the cycle of poverty and inequity in Annapolis through goal-focused mentoring, life-changing experiences, and targeted partnerships so youth facing adversity chart their own course to fulfilling lives and careers.

Whether it's emotional support from one of our mentors or staff, connection to a tutor, help overcoming technology barriers, access to new outdoor learning spaces, or referral to a much-needed resource, our partnerships, volunteers, and staff are creating tangible impacts on people's lives. Together, we are also changing the manner in which our community organizes itself to address inequities.

As Giving Tuesday (December 1st!) and the holidays approach, please keep Charting Careers in mind. Our programs and anti-racism and social justice work cannot continue without the generous support of people like you!

With Gratitude,
Erin

You can holiday shop and support Charting Careers at the same time!
Don’t forget to stop by Rise Up Coffee and buy a bag (or two!) of Organic Maryland Coffee. For every bag purchased of Organic Maryland Coffee, Rise Up donates $1 to Charting Careers! Check out the brand new location in the Annapolis Market House.
Thank you to the Rotary Club of Annapolis for your generous grant!
Because of our Rotary Club of Annapolis 2020 Crab Feast Grant award, we will be able to partner with organizations (e.g., STAIR, the Chesapeake Children's Museum, the Anne Arundel County Library) to create and then deliver welcome baskets of baby books and supplies to families with new babies and toddlers. Our goal is that families will feel increased social support and connection to a shared community, and become aware of community resources to support their family and healthy child development.
