VBCF Mourns the Loss of a Leader
Margaret "Meg" Ann Rock departed this life Saturday, October 14, 2017. A breast cancer survivor, Meg served on VBCF’s Board from 2013-2016, jumping right in to offer her financial management and leadership skills. During her time with us, she served as our Board Treasurer, helping to strengthen VBCF's financial management. Please join us in keeping Meg and her family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Meg's warm smile and positivity will be greatly missed and on behalf of the Board, staff, and many volunteers, we are so grateful to have known and worked with her.

In this season of giving thanks, VBCF appreciates the year round efforts of our volunteers and staff who help us educate and advocate for all Virginians affected by breast cancer. We could not do this work without our many generous supporters and all donors help us make a difference. We are funded by more than 90% individual donors, people like you who believe in our grassroots, statewide, state-based efforts. Check out our
Facebook page
for our weekly #MissionMondays through the end of the year where we share a story about how your support makes a difference!

Your voice matters! No previous advocacy experience needed. Your personal perspective and passion about ending breast cancer are all you need.
VBCF will offer an orientation and briefing conference call as well as day-of training to help participants make an impact at the General Assembly. Key issues this year include support for medical marijuana and health care for all Virginians and opposition to step therapy.
