Class of 2023 reenact the Way of the Cross
Greetings!

ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN,
LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD

Easter blessings to all from the students, faculty and staff of The De La Salle School! I would like to take this opportunity to reflect with great pride on the leadership demonstrated by our eighth-grade students during Holy Week. I was so moved and inspired by the prayerful way that they reenacted The Stations of the Cross, allowing each of us present to reflect on the Passion of Our Blessed Savior. The sincerity and revrence demonstrated as they prayed at each station was indeed a very grace filed moment and experience. Our Faith traditions continue to be the foundation stone for our mission here at The De La Salle School. Rooted in our Catholic faith and our Lasallian values we are sending forth young Christian gentlemen who are able to live and proclaim the Gospel message.

Last week we concluded the third quarter for this academic year. Parents eagerly picked up their son’s report card and celebrated in their academic success. Almost seventy percent of the student body achieved a position on the Honor Roll for this quarter. Congratulations to all the young men who worked so hard to secure their spot on the Honor Roll and a special thank you to the teachers for their time and energy helping the students achieve their goals. Parental enthusiasm and thankfulness for the values-based education that their son receives was repeatedly expressed to us during those conferences.

The De La Salle School will honor the Fishlinger Family at the school’s twenty-first annual Spring Gala on Friday, 2 June 2023. The Fishlinger Family has been a dedicated supporter of our mission for the last decade and has become an ardent advocate for our students and our alumni. They are very passionate about the work of the Graduate Support Program and are eager to see it succeed. Please join us to help celebrate the Fishlinger Family at the twenty-first annual gala that will take place at The Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury NY.  It begins at 7:00 PM and concludes at 11:00 PM. Proceeds benefit the school’s Scholarship Fund. For further information please contact our Development Director, Mr. Don Holden at 516- 379-8660 or visit the school website at https://www.delasalleschool.org/annual_spring_gala to register as an attendee and/or event sponsor.

Live Jesus in our hearts!
