Dear House of Hope Friend,

We are so blessed with an outpouring of love and support from our friends. We’ve been able to keep the doors open for 3 years -- plus expand by building a new workshop for our trade skills program.

WORKSHOP PROGRESS

The workshop is complete and the interior work tables and shelving are in the process of being built by program residents. They are learning woodworking skills that can be used in future employment! Praise God.

We thank our donors and volunteers for the many hours of hard work that went into the workshop project!!

Other News

We want to recognize Mike Murphy who will be hired upon his completion of the House of Hope’s residency program as the Overnight Watch staff member. Congratulations Mike - we are so proud of you and happy to welcome you to the team! Praise God.

This graduating class (March/April graduates) has excelled and all of them plan on continuing involvement in the ministry after graduating. The ministry is going to multiply which is God’s plan in helping many more men who say ‘yes’ to serving Him instead of their addiction.

All the House of Hope resident men were baptized on Sunday, February 5, 2023, demonstrating a serious commitment to their faith in Jesus Christ.

We are so excited to guide and help a sister ministry that is being planted in Phillips, WI, where there is a great need in the community. A team and board has been formed and we pray that God will remove obstacles and help this team forge the way for a much needed program in Price county.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING BANQUET

The House of Hope will be hosting its second fundraising banquet on March 9. If you would like to attend, please email [email protected] or [email protected]. This is an RSVP only event as space is limited. Please email us for details.

The men in the program are getting some products ready for the silent auction in the new trade skills workshop.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 for the ministry to pay operating expenses.

The Fundraising Committee

Our director, Mike Thompson, is continuing to develop and refine the programming and policies as the ministry matures.

We asked for prayer for Mike in our previous newsletter and want to provide an update. His knee surgery took place and he’s doing well with his rehabilitation exercises and recovery. Another important date is February 20, the day he will have neck surgery at long last to relieve pain and trouble sleeping. Please pray with us on February 20, that his surgery will go smoothly and that he will have a smooth recovery. We praise God for his health journey in losing 175 pounds and being able to have these surgeries to help him with much improved mobility and pain relief!
