Children's Hope Chest
one of our two recipients of our
2022 Sister Rosemary Sheehan Award
which recognizes deserving individuals or organizations
who exemplify Sister Sheehan’s magnanimous spirit
and dedication to enriching our community members’ lives.
Since 2005, Children's Hope Chest has been providing hundreds
of winter hats, gloves and coats to families and have supported
our Carver Market operations with donations of food and money.
In 2009, they helped purchase a walk-in refrigerator
for our then food pantry, which positively impacted our ability
to be able to distribute fresh food and produce to the
Port Chester community.
Their yearly Thanksgiving community dinner, held at Carver Center,
has become a tradition for our Port Chester community.
Children's Hope Chest's mission to provide help and offer hope
to children suffering from poverty, abuse, neglect and illness
has been life changing for our Port Chester families.
