Hey Powerhouse Woman!
I pray that all is well in your world. I realize that this is the time of the year where there is a lot going on. Christmas parties, gift shopping, travel, New Year preparation, and time with family. But, let's not forget to focus our attention on Jesus, the reason for the season.
Hopefully, we have not made those words cliche' to the point they are empty with little to no meaning.
Personally, I have been entrenched in our PrayHers Nationwide Challenge. It's been a labor of love. Getting this recap out to you has been a labor of love, so please take a moment and get caught up. In it I am sure you will find something that will encourage, empower, or elevate your thinking.
We have 7 more days to go. We have begun our ascend into 20/20. However, there is still plenty of time in 2019 for God to turn it around. If he can create the earth in 6 days what do you think he can do in these last days of the year?
You are still welcomed to join our morning motivation and prayer calls if you have not already. According to the many testimonials coming in, it has been life changing.
NOTE: December 25th only morning motivation is at 7:00am CST 8:00am EST we will be on the call line giving God glory.
Monday-Friday at 6:00am CST 7:00am EST
THE RECAP
Monday~
Day 16 The Reward of a Heart That Esteems Others
- Motivator Valencia McKinzie
Day 16 kicked off week 3 of our Monday-Friday morning motivational and prayer calls. Valencia reminded us that opportunities to serve are all around us. They can be found on our jobs, at the grocery store, or wherever we may find ourselves. There is always an opportunity to esteem someone. She gave the definition of esteem:
To respect or regard highly.
Valencia shared a few personal stories of her own to drive home the point of esteem. As a professor she has esteemed her students by showing mercy on class projects.
She then shared 6 ways to esteem.
- Pray for them.
- Encourage them.
- Financially bless them.
- Spend time with them.
- Give a hand up.
- Offer hope and help.
She concluded with these words:
Do what you can. You might can’t do a lot, but sometimes it doesn’t take a lot. Allow God to use you to esteem others.
Tuesday ~
Day 17 Whose Esther Are You?
Motivator Timinia Smith
Esther is an Old Testament book in the Bible. It tells the story of queen Esther rise to royalty. She was set up to help bring up the jewish nation. Her purpose was to preserve their posterity, which lead us to the question, whose Esther are you? Who is being positioned for your promotion, or who are you being positioned for?
Timinia shared that the name Esther meant, star. A star illuminates, or bring light to. Are you bringing light to anyone? Are you helping someone to shine in the spotlight, or are you casting shade?
Timinia made note of some characteristics that Esther possessed, had and then asked: Are you guided and driven by instruction? Are you patient? Are you going to step in and step up? Because those are some things that Esther did.
During prayer Timinia prayed, "Lord, Help us to see the Queen in us.
Wednesday~
Day 18 (17+1) Faithfulness Matters,
Motivator, Tammy Dean.
Day 18 was the day our plane was grounded. As leader of the challenge I sensed that there was still maintenance work that needed to be done. Therefore, it was necessary for us to pause and fly back around some days gone by. Those days were:
Day 4~ Better Than Your Barrenness, Day 5~ Love Her Anyway, and Day 15~Don’t Get Weary.
We needed reminding that no matter the desire or what we feel we lack, God is more fulfilling than all of it. He is better than the barren or empty places.
We needed to make sure that we were not holding on to pain. It was time to let it go, and let God heal it!
Day 18 marked Day 1 of a new commitment to the challenge. Personally, I was very tired. I felt like I had no more to give, so I cancelled all appointments and I took a day to refresh in prayer and time with God. I had to renew my focus and fill myself back up to ensure that I don't get wiped out by weariness.
Thursday
17+2= Day 19~
Fear Not~
Motivator Min Tina Hewlett
Fear is one of the biggest hindrance to living life on top. What would you do if you were not bound by fear? If all of the excuses you told yourself were eliminated, what would you do? God has created a promising future for us. His desire is that we see it in our mind, and believe it in our heart.
Our motivator, Min Tina said,
God is going to give you one step. Don’t be concerned about not knowing the place or the people, God knows. He won’t abandon you. We shouldn’t delay someones progression because of fear. We are tied together in Christ, so what we do and don’t matters to the body of Christ.
The Extra Step:
Figure out what has you most afraid. What is it that you have to do that has you hesitant? In the name of Jesus, do it.
Day 20~
The Business Woman of The Year-
Motivator Tammy Dean
Let’s face it, our life is a business. Running a household, a career, or a ministry assignment all require business-like skills. Many of us are desperately seeking balance.
I gave the definition of balance:
an even distribution of weight. By a woman's definition it means, trying to be everything to everyone all the time. Can you say, insanity? There is no way we can be everything to everyone all the time, so guess what we need Counterbalance. Counterbalance is a weight that balances another weight.
God wants to counterbalance our life. He wants to bring us back in alignment with HIM! When we make Him first. He will counterbalance our life. He will make up the difference. When an appointment is canceled that could be God counterbalancing. When someone offers to pick up the children. That's counterbalance. We all have what it takes to be the business woman of the year in God's eye as long as He holds first place with us.
Saturday Day 21~
He Is No Good Without You!
Day 21 was a reminder to single women who are waiting patiently for their mate to show up. Depending on how long a single sister has been waiting will determine how weary she may grow at times. In the book, In HERS is YOURS, I shared one of the things that most single people loathe to hear when they have been waiting a while is this, “YOU ARE NOT MARRIED YET?! As if something is terribly wrong with them. I can relate. I didn’t get married until I was 34, which in my era is considered a late bloomer. But, I am sure most married women will agree, you would rather wait long than to end up with Mr. Wrong!
Stay tuned for week 4 recap it is sure to IGNITE your dreams. Until next time I will be praying yours and I hope you are praying mine.
