FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS AUGUST 10
TCHP has a goal to raise $40,000 each month to continue our level of support for Brevard County's most vulnerable children.

Last school year, thanks to our volunteers and donors, TCHP was able to provide nearly 90,000 weekend food packages!

This year, as Brevard Public Schools navigate getting Brevard's children back to the classroom, it's important to remember the impact that 2020 had on many families. It's estimated that between 20 and 200 students at area schools are still in need of our services when it comes to weekend meals, beyond our current level of assistance.

"Community helping community; we are all in this together! This program is actively working to help every child have the nutrition to help them thrive to the best of their ability." - former BPS teacher

Next week we are wrapping up our this year's Feed and Read program, a summer partnership with United Way of Brevard. We are assisting at nearly 40 locations for almost 2,000 children, and to-date we've served over 11,000 weekend food packages!

The Summer Feed and Read program provides a meal and volunteers read aloud to children. The program aims to reduce hunger and reading loss during the summer through providing nutrition, mentors for kids struggling with their reading, and free books.
SOUTHEAST PETRO'S SPLASH & DUNK SUPPORTS OUR KIDS
Southeast Petro was LIVE on Thursday July 1st for their "Splash & Dunk" event, an employee dunk booth fundraiser for TCHP kids! Gallagher employees came to TCHP to pack meals, then participated at the fundraiser. Many thanks to the Shah family, their managers and employees (who had a lot of fun and are hoping for a weekly dunk booth FUNdraiser) for their support.

Southeast Petro is a wholesale fuel distributor based in Brevard founded in 1980 by Mike Shah and his wife Rashmi. Both Summit Shah and Ryan Firth of Southeast Petro also serve on TCHP's board. We are so fortunate to have the Southeast Petro team as a driving force for helping our kids.

VIERA BUILDERS HELD A FOOD DRIVE FOR OUR KIDS
Viera Builders has been a great supporter of the Children's Hunger Project, and recently held a food drive so we could pack more food for local children at risk of weekend and summer hunger. What a relief for our kids to benefit from the simple act of a food drive to take a worry off their plates.

Thanks again to Viera Builders and their employees, whose compassion for kids at risk of hunger make such a difference!
HOME SCHOOL GROUPS HIT HOME WITH THEIR VOLUNTEERISM
Nearly 1200 meals were packed by two different home school groups on two different days! Challenging and rewarding, parents and children alike were bringing sunshine to hungry kids locally through their efforts and we deeply appreciate all our #kidshelpingkids

CAN YOU SHARE 42 CENTS PER DAY TO HELP FEED A CHILD?
JUST $12.50/MONTH FEEDS A CHILD EACH SCHOOL WEEKEND

While many organizations have federal and state funding, we rely on the goodness of businesses, civic groups, faith-based organizations and individuals. All of our meals are prepped, packed and distributed by volunteers. As a TCHP volunteer commented, “There is nothing more honorable than caring for hungry children. You all are heroes.” THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for being heroes to so many local children.

What can you do to impact a child's life right here in Brevard?
Volunteer, share our mission with others, have a fundraiser and donate - even a small monthly donation adds up!
For those who can make a significant contribution, consider joining the Children’s Circle of Hope Society - this society is open to anyone contributing $1,000 or more annually. Contributions can be set up on a recurring basis of $84 per month.

Many thanks to local businesses, organizations and individuals that have stepped up to help us with our funding needs. Because of your help, we are making the lives of children in Brevard better during a challenging time.

PS: Please consider including The Children's Hunger Project in your beneficiary and estate plans. Leave a lasting legacy of fighting childhood hunger in our community!
Thank you for caring and sharing.

You give hungry children in Brevard hope!
