GLC - - - Connects!
 March 19, 2020
What does it mean to love the Lord with all your heart and soul and mind and strength?  I mean, when my heart is breaking with some of the things I'm seeing and hearing; when my mind is racing with scenarios, worst case or otherwise; when my strength feels sapped. And THEN Jesus says; 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Loving God and neighbor isn't one more thing to put on your to-do list, it is part of what we do with our broken hearts, our racing minds, our weakness. In fact, this is when God shows up most powerfully.  Gracious God, we are grateful that we don't have to carry this burden alone. Help us to release it to you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

GLC Events Suspended
All scheduled events are suspended at GLC until further notice. This includes PDO (and PDO registration), Confirmation, Sunday School, Bible Study, Soup Suppers, Wednesday Worship, Choir and Bells Music Rehearsal, Youth Group, Sunday Worship, and Education. In the first week of April, we will re-evaluate when we can resume worship services and weekday activities. Stay tuned. We do want to let you know that we are preparing for the real possibility that we may have to worship differently on Palm Sunday and Easter.
We understand people are implementing social distancing and would prefer not to leave their homes to make a trip to the grocery store or pharmacy. We've had several people from the congregation offer to run errands for those who are most susceptible or for parents who are at home with young children. If you are in need of help, please do not hesitate to contact Pastor Trudy or Julie Slifka #generouslifeinChrist
We lift up in prayer
  • The Danly family
  • The people who are sick with the virus
  • The health care workers
  • The people who are struggling with anxiety in this crisis
  • The people who have lost jobs
  • The people who can no longer have visitors

GLC came together for a virtual soup supper on Wednesday and we're going to do it again next week! Lots of you posted pictures of your delicious looking soup on Facebook! Then the virtual soup supper went on the road to Barb and Ted, JoAn, and Shirley. Hands washed. 6 feet away! ❤️GLC! You are all amazing! #generouslifeinChrist
