CHILDREN'S HOPE CHEST'S ANNUAL COAT DRIVE
Keeping our community warm

The Children's Hope Chest's annual event distributed 200 new winter coats and gloves to Port Chester children. We are grateful for your longstanding support to provide holiday cheer and warmth as we head into the winter months.

IMPACT100 HOLIDAY SERVICE PROJECT

Thank you to our friends from Impact100 for inviting their members to participate in their Hands-on Community Service Drive to provide a variety of holiday food to families in need. Carver Center was a Grant Finalist for the second year in a row.

Impact100 Westchester is a women's collective giving organization that engages women in philanthropy. 
TEAM REDEMPTION CHURCH BACK AGAIN!

It was great to have our friends from Redemption Church back at Carver again to assemble 203 holiday food bags. The younger children created beautiful Thanksgiving cards that will be put in each bag at our distribution.

We are so proud of the hard work these young men put towards their charity car wash. April Langus, Carver Marketing Director was on hand to pick up their $2,135 donation.
HEATING COSTS ARE GOING UP THIS WINTER.
Do I heat my home or feed my family?

We have been a lifeline to our Port Chester families for more than 78 years. Our families know that they can come to our Carver Market on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to receive fresh and nutritious food.

Between the months of January through
October 2021, the Carver Market distributed
food to 1,102 children, 1,136 adults, and 563 seniors.

OUR CARVER TEENS ARE BUILDING COMMUNITY

Our Carver Scholars and Teen Center members created a fun night of food and festivities for community and family members to show their gratitude and appreciation for being part of our culturally diverse and dynamic Port Chester community.

Thanks to all of our teens who worked hard to make this a great night! A great time was had by all who attended!
SCHOOL OF THE HOLY CHILD
Giving back to their community

An enthusiastic and hardworking group of girls from the School of the Holy Child in Rye helped sort groceries for our Thanksgiving distributions and also helped clean up our indoor Carver Market space in anticipation of a future indoor opening.

MARY HELEN ARMSTRONG

Carver Center would like to acknowledge the passing of Mary Helen Armstrong on October 26 at the age of 94 after a long and successful life as an impressionist artist.
Mary was devoted to her family, political and social causes and served as a volunteer leader on political campaigns and for the Red Cross. She was also deeply committed to the Carver Center where she helped raise funding that expanded Carver's programs and services.

She is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. All were described as the light of her life.
