Last night (2/27), the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Finance & Government Committee dealt our efforts to secure the 51 Green St. property a
serious blow
. They
v
oted to recommend to the Common Council that the St. Vincent de Paul Middletown project
not be approved
. They’ve upped the ante – we now need a 2/3s majority of the Common Council members to vote in favor of our proposal for it to be approved. We are facing the possibility of losing our battle to gain the new property.
WE MUST FILL THE ROOM AND WE MUST HAVE YOUR VOICE
.
It has to be Monday, March 4, 7 p.m at City Hall!
We need to tell our story, share our vision, and help the Council members to recognize what’s at stake in this decision. St. Vincent de Paul Middletown is the City's safety net for its poorest and most vulnerable residents. We are caregivers, we meet basic human needs, and we offer hope to thousands of people.
