WE ARE IN CRISIS!
WE NEED YOUR PRESENCE
ON MONDAY, MARCH 4TH
AT THE COMMON COUNCIL MEETING!!
What Happened?
Last night (2/27), the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Finance & Government Committee dealt our efforts to secure the 51 Green St. property a serious blow . They  v oted to recommend to the Common Council that the St. Vincent de Paul Middletown project  not be approved . They’ve upped the ante – we now need a 2/3s majority of the Common Council members to vote in favor of our proposal for it to be approved. We are facing the possibility of losing our battle to gain the new property.

WE MUST FILL THE ROOM AND WE MUST HAVE YOUR VOICE .
It has to be Monday, March 4, 7 p.m at City Hall!

We need to tell our story, share our vision, and help the Council members to recognize what’s at stake in this decision. St. Vincent de Paul Middletown is the City's safety net for its poorest and most vulnerable residents. We are caregivers, we meet basic human needs, and we offer hope to thousands of people.

Where?
City Hall,
245 deKoven Drive, Middletown, CT

When?
Monday, March 4, 2019 7 P.M.
What's At Stake?
Better Service to Middletown's People with the Greatest Needs!
  • We envision a state of the art kitchen and dining room
  • Showers and laundry
  • Offices
  • Meeting rooms
  • Community spaces large enough to hold forums and special events
  • A food services job training program
  • VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program on site
  • Middletown WORKS! to share our space for offices and community-wide forums
  • Improved Community Assistance Program and Operation Fuel
  • If the CAN (Coordinated Access Network) office was in our building, people in need of emergency shelter or housing would be better able to navigate the process
We cannot win without you! Let’s vote with our bodies and voices on Monday night and show the Common Council and residents of Middletown that we want St. Vincent de Paul Middletown to be approved for the purchase 51 Green St. to help more people!
