Millennials are battling an increasingly difficult housing market, and as living wages continue to dwindle they are beginning to look for alternate living options. Besides that, they have been raised simultaneously as the most isolated and most environmentally-inclined generation. The dream of a large single-family home is slowly drifting away as millennials and younger generations are realizing that not only is it financially impossible, it is also less healthy for our emotions, our families, and our planet. So why aren't young families flocking to cohousing? Well the truth is that most people have never heard of cohousing.
Cohousing NextGen is a conversation fueled by a younger generation who see cohousing as the best way to help ourselves and our planet, and want to bring more young people into the know. We believe that cohousing can be a rewarding and affordable housing choice for those who are buying a house for the first time or for a young professional who just moved to town and everyone in between.
