We are shut in but NOT shut down!
During this crazy time, we are finding creative ways to work, communicate, and take care of ourselves! Every morning, we join a video conference call to bounce ideas off one another, and most importantly, to boost morale!
Please note that the Chamber Offices will remain closed through 5pm on Tuesday, April 7, and all meetings will occur remotely through April 10. The team remains available at their usual extensions and email addresses which are provided below.
GNFCC Top Things to Do While Working From Home:
  1. Be Social – Social Distancing is HARD for Team GNFCC, so we are finding new ways to connect. Team meetings each morning via Zoom keep our hearts happy, and we are making daily calls to our Chamber members just to check in. Be sure you take time to reach out to your peers, customers, friends and family and offer virtual hugs.
  2. Keep Healthy – Avoiding COVID-19 is mission critical, however, it is also important to take care of yourself mentally and physically. Team GNFCC takes walks, works out online, plays with their pets and even gardens to keep sane. You HAVE to take a break to be at your best!
  3. Try Something NEW – This is a good time to learn a new skill or sharpen your skills. Team GNFCC has learned a lot about technology, but many of us are also trying new recipes and podcasts. Our newest offering is for us and for you - online leadership training starts next week.

Life Balance Ideas from the GNFCC Team:
"Who doesn’t love to eat! Like most families we enjoy gathering over a shared meal. Since we cannot do that, now we have started “Quarantine Kitchen." The rules are simple: you must use what you have in your pantry, and you must make the meal together. The first night was pasta; the second dessert. Tonight is pizza. Will have to be creative since we’re out of mozzarella cheese! Bon appetit!"

Lisa is digging in and exploring her green thumb! She is grateful for flowers blooming at her house and for Spring!
"Who needs the Bontanical Gardens? It is just as pretty right now at the Smiths' house!"
-Lisa Smith
"It is tough not being able to go to the gym and be in my normal routine. I didn't have any gym equipment at my house, so I decided to get creative! Fabric softeners serve as great dumbbells! Find something in your house to use, and GET ACTIVE!"
-Tori Kerlin
"Taking multiple walks throughout the day keeps me sane and helps me connect with my daughter who is adapting to college online."
-Kali Boatright

Lori agrees and loves to take her breaks walking too!
-Lori Sanders
Stacy is doing some serious spring cleaning!
"One person does not need that many clothes, purses and pillows! It is time to organize and donate!"
-Stacy Garmon
