"The only place where SUCCESS comes before WORK is in the dictionary"

Vidal Sassoon
What happens when you endure a pandemic, have spare time for brainstorming, and want Christmas to be pure joy? You Let It Glow!
The Let It Glow Team (United Way of Walworth County, Walworth County Food Pantry, & Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce) wants to properly thank everyone for making our 1st year a success. In two short months, Let It Glow went from an idea to a lit drive-thru event that 1000+ guests attended! And the only reason we can celebrate success, is because of all the hard work put forth by our amazing volunteers and community supporters!

THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS, OUR VOLUNTEERS, OUR GLOW STATIONS, & THE CITY OF ELKHORN!
THANK YOU TO OUR WALWORTH COUNTY RESIDENTS & BEYOND!

Not one person can take credit for all that happened at our 1st drive-thru festival at the Walworth County Fairgrounds. This event demanded teamwork, flexibility, and out-of-the-box thinking to bring Let It Glow to fruition. There was legit blood, sweat, and tears poured into this event. But to be clear, we would do it all again just to watch as sweet little girls and cars full of rowdy young boys rolled past the North Pole Express with eager eyes to see, and voices that squealed with delight at the sight of Santa and his very special elves.
It truly was magical! (watch video below)

The holiday season will soon come to a close when we officially welcome 2021. But before we do so, we want to bring our community together for our final volunteer effort, our Community Christmas Meal. Together we will ensure that the men, women, and families in our community experience peace, love, joy and a full belly on Christmas Day. Please consider being part of our annual Christmas Meal by signing up to volunteer! This year has been challenging for men, for women, for young and for old that live in our area. We look forward to gathering Christmas Day to offer a warm smile and a hot meal to reassure those same men and women and young and old that we are here and that we care.
We appreciate our business leaders and the men and women who continue to support our efforts. We're so glad we're in this together!
Keep smiling, keep sanitizing, and stay safe!

COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS
For the past many, many years, HOPE NOW of Elkhorn and the Elkhorn School District have coordinated food and gift assistance for families in need during the Holidays. In order to limit exposure of our donors, volunteers and families to households outside their own, we will be requesting donations of food cards and store gift cards. HOPE NOW kindly requests the donation of grocery gift cards and store gift cards (ex. Piggly Wiggly, Aldi, WalMart, Target, Kohl’s).

Gift cards will be distributed to families in need based on family size.
