Sunshine and rainbows are what we have been seeing throughout the month of October and we hope November will be the same.
Our IRCC golfers have been enjoying this incredible weather and one member, Nancy Carroll even achieved her first hole in one! Ever! Even though she has held the Champion title of the WGA presidents cup for 11 years, Nancy has never had a hole in one. Needless to say, she was very excited!

A Visit with the Pence Family

IRCC resident (and great golfer, see below!), Jo Ann Tutt had the privilege to see her granddaughter, Sarah, pin gold wings on her husband, Michael Pence, son of Vice President Mike Pence on Friday, September 28
th
in Meridian, Mississippi. Michael was awarded top pilot of his class and Jo Ann was proud and pleased to share the occasion!

Wow! This has proven to be a great month for resident Jo Ann Tutt! After a great visit with the Pence family, Jo Ann won the Presidents Cup Championship! Congratulations Jo Ann!!

Spotlight on IRCC resident, DJ, and Line Dance teacher, Lee Wyatt

Everyone over the age of 55 looks back to a point in their lives when they picked up something new – something that stayed with them.
|
|
For Lee Wyatt, it happened while he was teaching World & European History at West Point Academy. Lee and his wife Patsy had a friend who would DJ at the parties they attended. One night their friend asked Lee if he would DJ – his friend’s wife wanted to dance with her husband!
Well, one thing led to another, as they say, and before long he and Patsy were traveling to parties where Lee was invited to DJ.
Lee has always been musical (played rhythm guitar in a garage band in high school) and liked dancing (his mother made him take ballroom dance at an early age). Lee and Patsy moved to IRCC in 2003 and Lee could frequently be spotted on the dance floor

Golf for the Cure Tournament and Bake Event for Making Strides Brevard, American Cancer Society
IRCC residents, employees and the Rockledge Professional Firefighters joined in on this fun event to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer. Donations from the golfers, residents, baked goods, raffle tickets, t-shirts, and a silent auction raised nearly $4000.00, bringing the team total to a record breaking $7,000.00 to donate to the American Cancer Society!

First, there was one, later there were two! Resident,Cheryl G. said "Love is in the air! My guy must have found love!" Bald Eagles made their home at IRCC.

This Budgerigar Parakeet has been coming to a resident's bird feeder for the last few months. Most likely an escapee, he has decided to become part of IRCC wildlife!
