Today we are filled with gratitude as we celebrate our volunteers, staff, board, and supporters who all help us to serve Lake County children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect, and help them find safe, permanent homes. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to children who have faced abuse and neglect and deserve better.

Thanks to you, more children, youth and families will be supported through difficult times. And more children will have the opportunity to thrive.

To CASA Randy who has supported two little boys who joined their two younger sisters in a relative/fictive kin placement. Randy began his advocacy by supporting the children and their caregiver with many needed resources and has more recently focused on educational advocacy. He has navigated the challenges of scheduling visits with the caregiver and communicated with school personnel effectively. During his recent school meetings, he was able to gather detailed, important information that will support the children’s academic success. 

To CASA Charlie for continuing to be a great support to the foster mother in his case and in doing so helping to provide stability for his CASA children. There have been times where the foster parent is so overwhelmed by one of the child’s behaviors, but Charlie’s calm influence and willingness to listen, has helped this foster mom calm down and persevere with the placement.
