Dear Friend,

We believe everyone deserves access to fresh food for healthy living, especially in these challenging times. America’s Grow-a-Row’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic is to focus our energy on our core service of growing nutritious fruits and vegetables for the most vulnerable in our communities. With demand skyrocketing at food banks and pantries because of the pandemic and economic crisis, our team is hard at work to provide essential farm-fresh produce for healthy living and strong immunity for those in need. Sadly, people suffering from hunger are at greater risk for the diet-related diseases that are causing higher hospitalization and death rates from COVID-19.

America’s Grow-a-Row is an important source of fresh produce for some of the largest hunger relief agencies in the region. These organizations are facing unprecedented need right now, as many people are experiencing food insecurity for the first time in their lives.

In order to fulfill our commitment of donating 1.5 million pounds, or 6 million servings, of fruits and vegetables typically harvested by our 9,000 volunteers, we’ve made some changes this season due to social distancing requirements caused by the pandemic. We’ve hired additional seasonal farm staff and mechanized some of our farming practices to help accomplish the work traditionally done by our volunteer force. We are applying additional resources because the need is so great this year.

Donations can be made online at www.americasgrowarow.org/donate.

Your gift makes a difference now more than ever.
