So many exciting things are happening for our Wish Kids and Families!

“Wish Parties” - We have begun hosting “Wish Parties” for our families either before or after their trip. This allows us to invite the donors who have supported their wish and include the volunteers who have assisted in coordinating the trips, to be together to hear all about it. This also gives us the opportunity to get to know the families better, add a personal touch, and share stories . We partnered with Shaws in Warwick and the cake and decorations are completely donated.

Paws from the Heart - When our families receive wishes, a limousine picks them up. Volunteers then greet them at the airport and we now put in place a special greeter at the gate! “PVD Pups” is a program coordinated through the airport, who are also part of a non-profit organization, “Paws From the Heart”. These therapy dogs help families stay calm and relaxed before their big flight. Another great partnership to add more meaning to the trips. Volunteers make this happen!

Wish House Renovations - We are excited to announce that Sherwin Williams has collaborated with A Wish Come True and will be painting the inside and outside of the building for a fresh new look- completely donated! We are so thankful to Sherwin Williams as their staff are volunteering to paint the entire building with our community volunteers! Stay tuned for some open house events coming soon!

STAY TUNED FOR MORE EVENTS!!!!
WISHES

Half way through our fiscal year, we have more referrals than ever before! We currently have over 50 referrals to make dreams come true! This is exciting but to do this, we need your support as average cost remains $5,000 per wish. So, you may be asking how you can help. You can help us in a few different ways!

I want to introduce you to Zoie (8 years old-A Wish Recipient). Zoie is raising money for her little brother Jacoby’s (age 6) wish. Zoe and her brother have a rare disease that produces tumors on major organs- brain, heart, stomach. (Yes, both of them). Zoie just returned from her trip to Disney World and next year, Jacoby, who was just recently diagnosed, wants to go on a cruise. Zoie has raised over $1,700 for A Wish Come True on her own through a lemonade stand! What a role model to help give back. We are dedicating our golf tournament to help raise money for Jacoby and I hope others will support this 8 year old’s mission to give back to those who made her dreams come true. Please consider joining us!
Please free to contact me directly if you have any questions, ideas or just want to introduce yourself to wish us well. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Mary-Kate O’Leary
Executive Director
