CONGRATS TO OUR 2022 SCHOLARS

Visit our Website For More Info

This month we celebrated 19 scholarship recipients. Over 90% of the women housed in our shelter, and about 55-60% of nonresidential counseling clients, have incomes below the poverty level. For various reasons, many of these women have never received the education or training necessary to obtain adequate employment to support themselves and their children. Scholarships may be used to cover the cost of tuition, books/supplies, childcare, and transportation assistance.

ADOPT-A-MEAL

Adopt-A-Meal: Cook or Sponsor a Meal for our Shelter Residents! Our shelter only has a cook Monday – Friday so, Montgomery County Women’s Center relies on the support of volunteer groups to provide weekend meals to shelter residents. If your family, corporation, or civic group would like to cook and serve a meal or drop off/cater a meal from a local restaurant at our Adult or Family Center, consider “Adopting-a-Meal“!

SAVE THE DATE

The Montgomery County Women’s Center’s annual “Open Your Purse for Change” event is set for October 7, 2022. The event is the organization’s largest fundraiser and helps support the group’s work of assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
