CREATION JUSTICE: JULY ACTION
ANNOUNCING: We have Mission u Scholarships! More women can experience "Drawing Closer To God and One Another" at our Retreat next week or the Virtual sessions starting in late July and August. If the cost was holding you back, there are generous women who want you to come. Please apply by this Sunday evening.
Bravo to those local groups who support their members by paying Mission u registration or offering scholarships! It is appropriate for local groups to use their funds for members' mission education. Member support for Leadership Development is a core value of UWFaith and attracted me to this organization so many years ago. Make the investment in your members!

CREATION JUSTICE MOVEMENT
This grassroots movement connects and supports groups in the work of creation care, justice and regeneration. It connects United Women in Faith, EarthKeepers, Church and Society, and anyone else interested. Creation Justice Movement is a place to learn, connect, and move forward in caring for God's creation.
JULY ACTIVITY: The SCJ (our area) Creation Justice Movement is preparing a letter to the SCJ bishops as they address Creation Care items recently passed at General Conference. The letter references UWF's Just Energy for All. All are welcome to read the letter and add their name as a resource in Appendix B. It would be amazing to see many of our UWF sisters on this list! We know UWFaith know how to make things happen! Please review the letter and consider signing.

2024 MISSION PROJECT: ABIDE
ABIDE WOMEN'S HEALTH SERVICES
Abide is the '24 Mission Project because it is improving the disparities in maternal health here in our North Texas community.
Ways you and your group can participate:
-
Learn about Abide's mission, midwives and happy families with resources on our 2024 Mission Project webpage with your small group or on your own at home this summer.
-
Help provide what Abide needs by shopping online or locally
-
Create hand-made Baby Items: Could you crochet a baby hat?
Your support will help Abide reach more families and improve birth outcomes right here in the DFW area. Bring items to Mission u or a fall Annual Mtg.

GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS PROJECT
"VIDAS ROBOTAS"
THE STOLEN LIVES PROJECT
This is a powerful way to visualize the reality of too many victims of gun violence in our communities. Your church or group can paint T-shirts in this DIY art installation that memorializes victims of gun violence.
This interfaith project can be done at any house of worship. Now is the time to talk about it with administrations to schedule it for fall. More info here.
Contact UWFaith member Katie Clark if you have questions about how you or your church can be involved in this program.
