Dear friends and colleagues,

Addiction treatment is not a one-size-fits-all process. The cost of rehab depends on various factors, including the length of the program and the level of care required. Addiction treatment is offered in many settings and levels of care, including:

The most important thing is to choose a treatment program that can meet your needs and give you the support you need to be successful in recovery. Cost should not be a barrier to quality care.

The Affordable Care Act requires insurance companies to pay for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. If you have a private health insurance plan, you’ll need to verify the details to determine what services, providers, and facilities are covered.

Some insurance companies that provide coverage for addiction treatment include:

  • Aetna
  • United HealthCare
  • Humana
  • Cigna
  • BlueCross BlueShield
  • Kaiser Permanente

Next Step Recovery is excited to announce that we are now in-network providers for BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna insurance! If you have any questions about insurance coverage for our addiction treatment programs for young men, please reach out to us by calling 828-350-9960 or Charles in admissions at 828-273-2662.

Warm regards,

PERSPECTIVE FROM OUR THERAPIST

Planting the Seeds for Spring Growth 🌱

Spring has sprung, the birds are back, and our sunny days are getting longer. The spring season gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect on all that we have overcome and allows us to reevaluate our goals as we move through 2024. Just as the seeds we planted last year are starting to sprout now, we too can take inventory of all the seeds we have planted in our recovery journey and rejoice in the flowers beginning to bloom!

Spring also can bring new obstacles to rise above. Warmer weather means more get togethers, cookouts, and staying out later. These activities can be very triggering for those of us who are making a choice to maintain sobriety. Through the recovery community, we can make connections that will strengthen our skills and provide us with people and opportunities that help us continue to reach our goals.

Here are some great ways to safely enjoy the beautiful months that lie ahead:

✨ Spring cleaning: A clean space allows for a clear mind! Out with the old and in with the new, make clothing donations, clean out your closet, and check under the bed. Give yourself a fresh start beginning in your personal space.

🌳 Get outside: Allow yourself time to go sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Meditate and reflect on your achievements and how you would like to see them grow.

πŸ’Ž Try something new: Go to that new restaurant you’ve been dying to try. Try an outdoor meeting you haven’t attended before. Hike a new trail. Start that volunteer work you wanted to do. Finish the project you started but didn’t finish. Find new and exciting ways to get outside of yourself and enjoy your sobriety!

Spring is the perfect season to refresh your commitment to your health and happiness and focusing on personal growth while we enjoy the rejuvenation and rebirth of the world around us!
