Since joining the Development Team, Public Ally Anjenee Cannon has served as our “chief storyteller”, interviewing homeowners and crafting narratives and graphics for a wide array of communications.
We proudly toast Anjenee as her short story “Lectures from The Front Porch,” is set to be released in the forthcoming anthology, The Future is Black Female.
According to Anjeneé, the piece “discusses the lessons I have learned about self-improvement, female empowerment, and relationships between Black females and Black men. It also discusses the impacts of gentrification and displacement of Black people in their neighborhoods, and racial politics.”
Anjenee, your Habitat family is blessed by your grace & insight, and wish you all the best as you continue to tell stories that need to be heard.
