We heard your feedback and want to make scheduling an appointment at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA easier for you. Starting next Wednesday, January 13 at 12 noon, you will be able to make reservations through Acuity Scheduling thirteen (13) days in advance.

With this new timing, you may need to change when you register if you have specific days of the week that you typically come to the Y.
Here is what the 13-day availability will look like beginning next Wednesday, January 13:

Remember, the times become available on the exact hour. For example, a class/slot held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, January 26 would appear on the calendar at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13.

This new schedule will also help alleviate concerns we heard from members who were in the pool/class on the same day they needed to register for the following week.
Helpful Tips
Create an account and log in each time you use Acuity website version

When you create an account and log in to Acuity, you can see all of your upcoming reservations on the website and easily cancel or change an upcoming appointment.

Plus, if you are logged in when you schedule a new appointment, you will recieve an alert if you are already booked at that time.

Also, once you are logged in your information will automatically populate when you make a new reservation.

You can create an account the next time you make a reservation. On the confirmation screen, there will be a “Register for an Account” button. Once you have an account, you will need to log in (click “Log in” in upper right corner) each time you use the system to see your upcoming appointments.
Please note: the website version will show you all of your appointments whether you make them on the website or use the mobile app. However, the mobile app will only show you appointments made through the mobile app.

If you are logged into your account on the website and do not see appointments you made through the mobile app, please email membership@fspymca.org. We can make sure you have access to all upcoming appointments on the website version.
There are several ways to cancel or reschedule an appointment
Due to the limited capacity and high demand of some of our classes and appointments, please remember to cancel or reschedule your reservation if you cannot make it. This will give other members the chance to reserve the available spot.

Here are all the ways you can cancel or reschedule an appointment online up to two (2) hours ahead of your reservation.

1. Through the website – Once you have created an account (see above) and you log in to the system, you will see a list of all upcoming appointments. You can click on the appointment to cancel or reschedule.
2. Through the mobile app – If you made the appointment on your mobile app, you can click on “Appointments” at the bottom of the home screen, then click on the appointment you want to cancel.
3. Through your confirmation or reminder email – You will receive a confirmation email immediately after you make your reservation, which will have a link to change or cancel your appointment. You will also receive a reminder email 24 hours before your appointment and there will be a change or cancel link in this email as well.
4. Through your calendar – When you receive your confirmation and reminder email, there is an option to add the appointment to your iCal/Outlook or Google calendar. If you add an appointment to your calendar, you will be able to click on a link in the calendar to change or cancel your appointment.

If you need to cancel less than 2 hours before your reservation, please email the program director listed in your confirmation and reminder emails or call the Welcome Center at 908-889-8880 during business hours (6:00am-7:00pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 7:00am-12:00pm.)
