The Honorable Randall Woodfin, Mayor City of Birmingham
The Host Mayor

Woodfin's primary focus is on improving the quality of life in the city's ninety-nine neighborhoods. A part of this is creating jobs by diversifying the city's local economy. The thing that unifies Woodfin with his constituents, no matter what generation they belong to, is that they want Birmingham to get better.
Reverend Tony Cooper, Executive Director Jimmie Hale Mission
Breakfast Speaker

People will ask, 'Why don't they just get a job? Well, we want people to be self-sufficient and responsible, but the guys that are here are desiring to be responsible. They have admitted there is something that is broken they want to fix. I've seen not just the down and outs but the up and outs."
Reverend Frank A. Woodson, Senior Pastor Covenant Community
Dinner Host

Woodson says being focused on the mission was the key to the success at Mission Alabama. Frank and others worked to connect government agencies, churches and generous individuals to get things done. They met needs, they solved problems and they focused on making others successful. They focused on building bridges, creating effective partnerships that lead to transformation.
Coach Bill Clark, Head Coach UAB Football

Coach Bill Clark was presented the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year award for helping guide the Blazers to their first 10-win season, after restoring the football program. The Sporting News also recognized Coach Clark as the 2018 Coach of the Year, an honor awarded by the longtime sports publication since 1963.
