Youth & SAGES from last Sunday's Valentine's Dinner
From a thank you note I received today:
Dear Matt and youth group,

Thank you so much for the Valentine's Dinner you hosted Sunday evening. The menu was outstanding! The kids did a wonderful job making valentine name tags and table decorations and busing at the tables. It was very nice meeting new "older" attendees and it was wonderful meeting the youth of our church. The 3 young ladies at our table--Izabel, Molly, and Audrey--were delightful. It gives us great hope for the future of the upcoming generation and is witness God's love and grace in their lives. Thanks again for a great evening.

God's blessing to you and all the kids.

THIS SUNDAY
SCREEN & SCRIPTURE
An inter-generational Sunday School for 6th graders through adults continues this Sunday at 9:45 am in the Youth Lounge! Each week we will watch an InLighten Films short film based on the scripture reading for the day and use that to help explore the Bible passage and create some conversation that will take us further into God's story. Along the way we'll pick up Bible reading skills and a better understanding of the language of film.
YOUTH GROUP
Youth Group on this Presidents' Day weekend will look a little different! We're still having dinner at 5 pm (don't forget $5!), but there is no Confirmation this Sunday (8th graders will still meet to plan Youth Sunday). Keep reading to find out what everyone will be doing:
6th-10th Grades

Youth Sunday, the Sunday where youth lead worship at the 9:45 and 11 am worship services, is coming up on March 29th so we're spending some time at Youth Group this Sunday preparing. We'll explore the scripture readings and find out how worship, even though it's for God, forms us.
11th-12th Grades

Before You Go is a series especially for juniors and seniors as they start to think about life and faith after high school. Both small groups will join together to hear about small group leaders' experiences and some great wisdom for following Jesus into adulthood.
KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Part of the magic that happens on Sunday night is a delicious meal served in a welcoming environment and Kitchen Team volunteers are crucial in making that happen! We need 2 volunteers for this Sunday and have lots of openings for the rest of the school year. The time commitment is 4:45 to 5:45 pm and volunteers don't walk away empty handed (those leftovers have to go somewhere)! Click here to lend a hand.

NEW SERIES ON 2/23: MADE
When it comes to sex, we all have certain ideas and expectations of what it should— or shouldn’t—be about. But what if some of those thoughts and ideas are actually missing the mark? In a new series we’re starting February 23rd, when we take a look at God’s design for sex, we’ll discover that there’s more to it than we think! Get more details here.
