Wow! Together we have already logged 11,214 miles which gets us to Mt. Everest. Congratulations! Let's take a minute to learn a little about this fourth stop as we travel around the world together.

Why are mountains always tired? Because they don’t Everest! 
Did you know? 
  • Mount Everest is Earth's highest mountain above sea level
  • Closest city is Kathmandu, Nepal's capital
  • Nepal originated the Legend of the Yeti (The Abominable Snowman) by Himalayan Tibetans which some people claimed a monastery held remains, but scientists cannot confirm this and instead classify it as a bipedal ape.
  • It is the only country with a triangle flag.
  • Nepal is home to a very rare "herb", Yarsagumba, "the Caterpillar fungus". A mushroom species produces parasitic spores and when a caterpillar crosses its path becomes mummified and sprouts grow from the dead caterpillars head which are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It's very expensive and hard to find. Many locals even risk their lives to find it in the snowy season.
