Thank you to everyone that donated to COVID-19 Relief. Please know that it was very much appreciated and that we have already begun to assist musicians in our midst.
Sadly, we've cancelled the Neighborhood Concerts for the month of May. The concerts in Cheltenham, Collingswood and Roxborough are cancelled, thus ending our concert season. We are putting the safety of our patrons, musicians and the venues first.
We had hoped we would be back to "normal," however, COVID-19 is not allowing that, but we are hopeful to coming together in the very near future.
Your generosity has bought groceries, keep cell phones and the internet working or simply, helped musicians with other important needs. Musicians income has been impacted greatly with most gigs cancelled for the next several months. But your donations really helped.
So, THANK YOU!
Our partnerships with the Friends of Hawthorne Park and the Curtis Jones Summer Concerts Series are on hold, for now, as we wait to hear back from the City of Philadelphia, if we can safely gather outdoors in the summer.
As things change, we will update you.
Jazz Appreciation Month
Now for something to make your heart sing, toes tap and feel like dancing again. We thought we’d bring part of what we all need right now – music from the comfort of your home.
April is Jazz Appreciation Month and we usually get out to see and hear music live. But we just can’t do that right now and like you, I am needing that feeling that comes from being together and listening in person.
So, don’t fret any longer. Go online, if you can, and visit the Jazz Bridge YouTube Channel for some music and interviews. Select the tab marked “videos” and look back at all the great music over the years. (Please note that some of the music is copywritten.)
And if you would like to make a donation that will go to the musicians we help in our community, please visit our website at:
