Not-for-profit and charitable organizations outreach survey The  Town of Georgina  is researching opportunities to support not-for-profits and charitable organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Complete this short survey by May 25, 2020. The information being requested will be kept confidential and is being used to help determine potential opportunities to support not-for-profits and charitable organizations located in Town-owned facilities, and in privately owned buildings. New customer service hours - Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For business inquires contact the Economic Development and Tourism office at ed@georgina.ca or call Karyn Stone at 905-476-4301 ext 2312. For after-hours emergencies about animal control, roads, water or wastewater, call 905-476-4301 and follow the prompts to reach after-hours on-call services. For all other inquiries, send an email to info@georgina.ca. Municipal Law Enforcement can be reached at 905-476-4301, ext. 2279 or 2272. For after hours and weekends, call ext. 2281. If your call goes to voicemail, leave a detailed message including the date, time and location of the violation, and an officer will investigate.

Canada and Ontario take steps to further protect farm workers

"The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing up to $2.25 million to help farmers better protect employees and ensure the continued supply of healthy food products for consumers during the COVID-19 outbreak. Through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, the federal and provincial governments are launching the second intake of the Agri-food Workplace Protection Program to help farmers enhance health and safety measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The funding will be used for initiatives like purchasing personal protective equipment, enhanced cleaning and disinfection, and redesigning workstations." - ontario.ca

A framework for reopening Ontario: Stage 1

Phase 1: Protect and support The  Ontario Government 's first stage of reopening began Tuesday, May 19, 2020 and included some of the following businesses: • Retail services that are not in shopping malls and have separate street-front entrances. • Seasonal businesses and recreational activities for individual or single competitors, including training and sport competitions. • Animal services, specifically pet care services, such as grooming and training, and regular veterinary appointments.
