We're Asking Gov. Reeves for a Mask Mandate
In light of the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Mississippi, the MAFP and other organizations asked Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves to issue a statewide mask mandate. The letter was sent to Reeves on Tuesday, Nov. 24.

"A statewide mask mandate is vital to maintain the integrity of our healthcare system, and we ask that you issue one by executive order through the end of the year," the letter states.

The letter was also signed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Mississippi Chapter; the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and the Mississippi State Medical Association.
