Since 2019, the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation has celebrated International Credit Union (ICU) Day by acknowledging individuals and organizations who made their mark by exemplifying the credit union philosophy of "people helping people."

This year, the Sunmark Foundation will celebrate the fifth annual ICU Day Awards by awarding $20,000 to local charities in of honor individuals and organizations who have contributed their time, talent or treasure to better their communities.

Last year, the Sunmark Foundation expanded the program with the addition of the "It’s Cool to be Kind" Student Leader Award. This honor awards $2,500 to the charity of choice of one current student, 18 or younger, who has made a meaningful contribution to their community through donation of time, talent or treasure. To read more about who received the Student Leader award and all of the 2022 winners, click here.
