UNITED WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Time to kick-off the 2020/2021 United Way of Lincoln County Giving Campaign!
This campaign is sure to be OUT OF THIS WORLD!

As an agency comprised of fellow community members, we realize more people than ever before are struggling due to COVID-19 and the detrimental effects the pandemic has had on our livelihoods and our economy. This very reason is why the 2020/2021 UWLC Campaign must carry on so we can continue to support and promote the mission of many non-profits in Lincoln County. Your donation to YOUR United Way is more important than ever, and we hope you consider making a commitment to financially support YOUR Community during our time of great need.

YOUR support truly means the WORLD to YOUR community.

A note from the 2020/2021 UWLC Campaign Char, Natalie Ducharme:

“We know that 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone which is why this year’s United Way Campaign is so important. The effect of the pandemic has hit everyone hard but, especially those without the means to support themselves or those that may be stuck in horrible situations with nowhere to go. By giving to this year’s United Way campaign you are helping support our partner agencies who are often the lifeline to individuals in their time of need. We at Lincoln County United Way are so thankful for your generosity and support of those in need in our community.”

Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence
YOU Can Help Save Lives!
The annual United Way Campaign raises money for 14 Partner Agencies in Lincoln County, including the Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence!

We all know Domestic Violence takes place, but if it doesn’t directly affect us, we spend little time thinking about it and almost no time talking about it. We should know that those in our community who live with it are almost unable to think about anything else! They may be in constant fear for their lives, may think that they are the only ones having to live like “this” and don’t know how to talk about it or how to get help.

Your donation to the 2020/2021 UWLC Campaign WILL HELP SAVE LIVES!

The Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCCADV), whose Shelter operates locally as Amy’s House and whose volunteers operate in two locations (Lincolnton and Denver) at Amy’s Closet are working non-stop to provide clothing and other essentials to families who often have to leave a violent incident with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Amy’s House is available at 704-736-1224; on Facebook @LincolnCountyCADV; and on the internet at lincolncounty-cadv.org. Besides emergency shelter, food and other essentials, the LCCADV staff provides legal advocacy, connection to counselling, support groups, information on financial management, job search, resume writing, job interviewing, housing referrals and other supportive actions to enable survivors to achieve a safe home for themselves and their family.

This great work depends on your help. Victims of Domestic Violence depend on your contribution!
United Way of Lincoln County awarded an additional $10,000 to Lincoln County's Coalition Against Domestic Violence to help house domestic violence victims and their families when traditional shelter space is unavailable. This grant was made possible by your donation to UWLC!
