PCEF Collaborations:
We're Better Together
PCEF has been bringing our community together around education for over 30 years. Our very first and longest lasting collaboration is, of course, with the Park City School District.

Today, PCEF collaborates with dozens of organizations to provide an exceptional educational experience and support for students and teachers.

One critical collaboration is with Communities that Care. Communities that Care is a coalition bringing our community together to cultivate health and wellbeing for our youth and families.

"After the tragedies of two Treasure Mountain students' death in 2016, there was a community awakening around the mental health and wellness of our kids. Communities that Care is a proven coalition model, sharing resources and working together to create a community-wide strategy based on data," says CTC Executive Director Mary Christa Smith. "Now with the realities of COVID, we are working on redefining success and managing expectations around the education of our students as well."
Please join us for a Virtual Conversation: "Student Success in the Age of COVID"
How do we define student success and manage expectations during uncertain times? PCEF and Communities that Care invite you to join us for a virtual conversation on November, 17th.

The conversation will encourage dialogue on how we must redefine what success looks like in our "new normal."

Dr. Brad Reedy (expert on wilderness and experiential therapy), Jennifer Mulholland (Plenty Co-Founder), and PCHS school-based crisis counselor Sam Walsh will discuss navigating and shifting expectations for our students, schools, and ourselves during uncertain and stressful times.

All community members are welcome to join this event; please register below!
McPolin Principal Bob Edmiston Wins United Way Changemaker Award
Congratulations to McPolin principal Bob Edmiston! 'Mr Ed' was named a 2020 Changemaker for the United Way Collective Impact and Changemaker Awards.

Bob has been instrumental in championing the needs of his students and gathering the resources to change their lives for the better. To this end, McPolin has joined the Promise Partnership, a United Way coalition supporting students and families by aligning an array of programs and services so that every student can succeed.

PCEF, along with several local organizations, is a partner in this collaboration. Our mission to help students achieve their academic and lifelong potential goes beyond simply funding programs, in order to make a stronger collective impact for the children of Park City. Together, we have the best chance of improving the outcomes for Park City's most vulnerable students and their families.
PCEF Establishes Educator Wellness Initiative
In an effort to provide a suite of wellness support options for exhausted Park City School District educators, Park City Education Foundation has established the Educator Wellness Initiative.

“The 2020-21 school year has school faculty and staff charged with pandemic health and safety protocols in addition to student instruction,” said PCEF Executive Director Abby McNulty. “We know that our PCSD community is experiencing fatigue, stress, fear, and anxiety, and we want to help our amazing educators access additional support for their own health and wellness.”

PCEF kicked off the fundraising for this initiative during Live PC Give PC - any and all donations are welcome!
Thank You Park City!
