With the health and safety of our clients, employees, and community in mind, we've closed our physical offices and our in-person classes, workshops and counseling appointments have been suspended.
The entire NHS staff is working remotely and our Client Services and Homeownership Services teams are fully equipped to provide a full range of services.

The 8-Hour Homebuyer Education Certificate Class

The NHS online eHome course is currently available . Based on the same curriculum as the NHS in-person class, this self-paced course is followed by a required telephone counseling session prior to a Certificate of Completion being issued.

Soon, this class will be made available via live stream for those who prefer more interaction with a course instructor. A class schedule will be released and the NHS Homeownership Manual and all required materials will be made available to clients digitally.
Financial Fresh Start Workshop

Our Financial Fresh Start workshop will also be made available multiple times through live streaming.  A handbook and resource guide will be made available digitally.

The Financial Fresh Start Workshop is undergoing a curriculum update to include information and best practices in dealing with a financial crisis.

Telephone and Online Counseling Sessions

Clients have the option of scheduling a telephone or  on-line counseling session  through a private and secure Zoom meeting platform accessible through a computer or mobile smart phone.

Clients can upload and receive documents through the NHS client portal and sign any required documents through an eSignature application.
Things are far from typical and all of us are adapting to rapidly changing conditions. This is what is required to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Governor J.B. Pritzker announced a statewide order for Illinois residents to shelter in place . This mandatory order remains in place until at least April 30th .
