Promote, strengthen and support individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers

Members of the Colorado Springs Country Club presented a check totaling more than $41,000 to Special Kids Special Families. The money was raised during a charity golf tournament – Golfing Fore Brighter Futures For The Kids – held in September. The funds will help children, families and caregivers who use Zach’s Place, SKSF's founding program. More than 130 golfers teed it up for charity in addition purchased raffle tickets and participated in a live auction during a prime rib lunch. This is the second year in a row the COS Country Club has staged the fundraising event as organizer Ruthie Lohrig-Kline was extremely pleased with the turnout, “We are excited that not only our country club members but members of the business community came together to support such a great organization and we were able to raise as much as we did!” We thank them for their generosity!
During these special days of giving, a donation to Special Kids Special Families in ANY AMOUNT will help families afford respite care at our programs. Donations are processed through Giving First or Paypal. We THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS!
TUESDAY, 12/3/19
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.
