Exciting Times Are Upon Us

With businesses reopening to pre-circuit breaker days and further easing of capacity and travel restrictions coming in phases we are all focused rebooting and summer.

Tourism Fernie has been actively marketing for summer since April and has already been active for the fall and winter season to come.

But it doesn't stop there, we have been so busy in many other areas such as destination management that we are now hiring for a Marketing Manager position!

$300,000 to Fund Elk River Access Enhancements

Tourism Fernie in partnership with local operators and the Elk River Alliance have secured some needed funding through the Targeted Regional Tourism Development Initaitive to improve and enhance river access along the Elk River.

Funded by the RDEK AREA A, Tourism Fernie has been working with a local stakeholder committee and Savage Marketing to identify priority areas in the front and backcountry that need sustainable recreation and tourism support. Spring surveys and engagement are now leading into key recommendations.
