Clean water for God's thirsty children
We’re Makin’ Our Move For Hope: A New Year, A New Office,
And New Goals
Very soon the signage will change to the familiar Water With Blessings logo. Thanks to the generosity of our community for mission, by the end of 2021 we will own outright this new, expanded office and warehouse space.
The previous owners donated these beautiful office furnishings: now we will work at desks rather than folding tables.
Lower costs and greater efficiency
mean clean water for more of
Gods thirsty children.
Like everyone else, we were happy to see the last day of 2020 – but for a much more important reason.

On a milestone day for Water With Blessings, we closed on a new, much larger office and warehouse space. That means more effective storage and distribution of filters and other equipment for our Water Women. Also, as our precautions continue, safer social distance for our staff and volunteers.

But the best news is that by the end of this year, we will own the property outright. That means no more rent payments. As our overhead decreases, we will increase the number of Water Women we equip and train each month.

As you can see from the pictures, in addition to built-in shelves and beautiful kitchenette areas, the previous owner is leaving us wonderful furniture and other office essentials. We won’t be using folding tables for desks any longer!
And we’re makin’ our move in another way.

The pandemic put the brakes on the strategic plan we put in place at the end of 2019. After we celebrated 100,000 Water Women in ten years, our goal was to equip and train 100,000 a year within five years. That would mean more than 1 million more people each year drinking clean water.

With this move we’re back on track.

While our generous community in mission was contributing more in 2020 than in 2019, we received an additional $200,000 toward the purchase of this new space. With that down payment, we are well within our means to afford the space.

And right now, our wonderful Board members and other volunteer leaders are working to secure the remaining $200,000. We know we’re going to do it.

In a time of anxiety, we’re choosing hope. With your help we have become the little nonprofit that can.
With these children and Water Women around the world, we raise
a New Year’s toast of clean water to a healthy and happy 2021!
Over the coming weeks, you will be hearing more about our new campaign:
A Foundation of Hope.
We will raise the money to complete the purchase of our new office and warehouse space, while expanding our fund development activities. If you would like to help, please contact Rebecca Stutsman, our Chief Development Officer. Her phone number is (502) 939-7312.
Also, Water With Blessings was featured in Louisville’s newspaper, The Courier-Journal. To read this very nice write-up, click on the button below.

While we don't want to quibble, we would have made one little update. We think a better way of describing Water With Blessings is ‘The Little Nonprofit That Can.’
For Water Women and their neighbors, every new filter is
a major donation

At Water With Blessings, we don’t differentiate between gifts large and small.

Each gift we receive comes from the heart of the donor to those in need.

And even smaller amounts add up to $75 pretty quickly. Every time that happens, a filter enables a Water Woman to provide clean water to her own and three other families.

Thank you for investing in
Water With Blessings.

A Word of Thanks as
We Begin the New Year
It was only a month ago that we thought we would come up short of our 2019 income. But then the year-end gifts began to pour in, putting us well over. (We will bring you more concrete numbers in future news and in our annual report.) And we can’t forget that this happened in the most challenging year many of us can remember.

We keep receiving these signs from God that we’re on the right track.

Sometimes they’re big signs, like the gifts that are helping us make our move into our new office and warehouse space.

But most of the time they’re little signs, like the lady who, every so often, sends us a Western Union transfer of a dollar or two. And she always adds the note that she wishes she could do more.

To me, that is a voice from the Gospels, and perhaps the greatest gift we receive.

Thank you again for all you do to bring clean water to God’s thirsty children.
Coffee Chat Keeps The Christmas Cheer
Coming Your Way
We’re easing our way into the New Year, but remember – Christmas isn’t over yet. It just began on December 25. The Magi have yet to arrive, and the Holy Family is still in Bethlehem with the wonder of Emmanuel: God is with us.

In that spirit, we may have one more Santa surprise for you.

As always, we will share the latest news on Water With Blessings, including an update on our exciting Move For Hope. Prayer, laughs, and fellowship will bring the week to a festive close.

So click on the link below and join us at Noon Eastern Time this coming Friday, January 8. We’re still imbibing hot drinks here, but if you’re in a warmer climate any drink will do. And we don’t mind if you want to join us while you’re eating lunch.

A continuing Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to one and all!
Calling Our Crafters: Help Us Cover Those Filters

As we mentioned last week, with the tremendous response to our pleas for help, our supply of crafted filter covers is starting to shrink. Several months ago we thought we had enough to last for a long time. But with our success around the world, and the urgent need in Central America and Haiti, we need more now.

The Water Women love these colorful covers, and we have always appreciated the creativity of our Water With Blessings crafting community. To find out how to help, please click on the button below. Thank you again for your help.
We believe every child should be drinking clean water. Are you with us?
