StoneBridge Drama presents 3rd-12th grade actors in their spring musical, THE MUSIC MAN! This classic musical by Meredith Willson tells the story of Harold Hill, a con man in 1912 who poses as a boys' band organizer. He sells uniforms and instruments to the naïve townsfolk of River City, Iowa, and promises to instruct and lead the band but plans to skip town without giving any lessons. However, there is at least one person in town who sees through his charade…the lovely librarian, Miss Marian. It features many loved and well-known musical theatre songs like “Til There Was You,” “The Wells Fargo Wagon,” “Seventy Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “Goodnight My Someone,” and many others!
Note to parents: This is full-length musical (2.5 hours long) and is recommended for ages 5+. THE MUSIC MAN is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

The SBS Nation Changers Gala Will Help More Families Come to StoneBridge! | |
We are not without a solution for this generation! There are many families in Hampton Roads who would love to enroll their children in an environment that will build their children up in their Christian faith, not tear them down. But for many, this vision for their child is just a pipe dream as it is far beyond their financial means.
We want to change that! You can help make a way for more like-minded families to join the mission of equipping and discipling students to make an impact for the Kingdom. Generous donors have helped families like the Saunders, who were seeking a place for their daughter Jayla that would challenge her academically and build her up in her faith. But they knew this dream was financially out of reach, until they stepped out in faith. Here's their story:
| |
"As a parent, it was important that my daughter, Jayla, attend a Christian school that would reinforce our beliefs as Christian parents. It was also a requirement for the academic program to be rigorous. After talking to a colleague and hearing her testimony about StoneBridge, I knew this was a school I needed more information about, as it seemed to be what my husband and I were in search of for our daughter.
"In spring 2017, I took a leap of faith and scheduled a meeting with the admissions director. After I took the tour, I knew this was the fit for our family and certainly for Jayla.
"I remember very vividly sitting in my car, praying, while waiting for her to complete her placement testing. My thoughts were 'How are we going to afford this?' I knew that somehow my faithful Father would figure this 'BIG thing' out as I knew we couldn’t do it on our own. My husband is a kidney transplant recipient who is on a limited income. While I am a teacher, I knew that based on my income this would be out of our reach. It was then that I decided to trust God completely.
"We completed the financial aid process and were awarded scholarship funds. Praise God! We send our daughter to school every day with an unexplainable peace and gratitude knowing that God answered us in such a BIG way." – Dionne Porter-Saunders

Thanks to donors who generously support our scholarship program, Jayla continues to excel at all she does and grow in her faith and understanding of biblical principles here at StoneBridge. This is what our Gala is all about: Helping support more like-minded families like the Saunders become an integral part of the StoneBridge story.
Join us on April 15 at the SBS Nation Changers Gala with Pete Hegseth as we rally together to help raise up biblically minded leaders for our nation’s future!
