Gallery and Shop Hours: Wednesday - Saturday, 9:30am to 5:00pm
Greetings!

We are open and pleased to welcome you back to the gallery — in person — where you can experience the colors and textures of our amazing art collection up close!

For the time being, we're operating on our summer schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 9:30am-5:00pm. To ensure the safety of our customers, we're following the CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting the shop and gallery. We'll be wearing our masks and ask politely that you do as well. Additionally, for picking up orders, a reminder that we offer curbside. Just call us from the parking lot and we'll bring your piece to your car.

It's time to shop for Father's Day! To celebrate dad, we've brought in wooden collections by local artists that will make perfect gifts: decoys, boxes, benches and bowls (pictured below). Does your dad have a collection of special memorabilia? Allow us to create a custom shadowbox to display his favorite collection or achievements. For a unique gift, choose an original work of art, or let us pair you with an artist to create a custom portrait. Can't decide? We also offer gift certificates.

Plus, we're happy to announce our featured exhibit this month, " The Evocative Seas ," featuring the poignant seascapes of Richard Danzig . His exhibit runs through June 27.

We've missed you through the lockdown and hope you're well. We look forward to seeing you at the gallery soon!

Stay safe,

Anne & Tom Geary

The featured piece of the month is "Mallard" by Kevin Kerrigan. It's a limited-edition decoy, priced at $395.

Featured Artist: Richard Danzig

Richard Danzig’s work focuses on the beauty of bi-coastal seascapes as well as vivid abstracts. He has studios in Montauk, New York and La Jolla, California.

“Richard could be considered an ‘outsider artist’ in that he’s had no formal training, but that wouldn’t be evident from his refined and mature style,” says Luiza Budea, organizer of Art on Main in Ridgefield, CT.

Budea explains Danzig’s technique, “He combines brushwork with scraping and pulling paint across surfaces such as paper, canvas or transparent vinyl, using squeegees, rulers and other implements—a process that he invented. It would be easy to miss the mark when using this technique, but Richard never misses.

Danzig finds a way to incorporate his deepest feelings into his images. They are often moody, pensive and sometimes nostalgic. They speak of things we all experience: resilience, loss, uncertainty, celebration, and wonder. He brilliantly captures the ocean, which he intimately knows, having resided on both the East and West Coasts.

His seascapes suggest the depth of the water and the vast expanse of the horizon in an almost impressionistic fashion.

Transparent vinyl often enhances their dimension. More importantly, they capture the way that he is looking at the water, as if his own feelings are reflecting back at him from its gleaming surface. His abstracts use similar techniques to incorporate feeling using only color, texture and opacity. They are subtle, moving and deep when experienced in person.”

Danzig is a juried member of the Spanish Village Art Center located in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. He's also a member of the RPAC Art Center and the East Hampton Artists Alliance.

His exhibit runs through June 27 and his paintings are available for acquisition. All are welcome and admission is free. T o view some of Danzig’s work, visit  his profile .
