Summer Quest , our favorite time of the year returns!
Reading Goal: 1,000,000 minutes

Join our online reading site, Beanstack, to track your minutes, conquer reading challenges, unlock badges, and beat our goal.
A new limited-edition Summer Quest badge drops each week! Grab a Summer Quest Activity Bag at the library and complete the challenge inside to earn a badge. Bags are available while supplies last. Request a bag when you pick up a curbside order or in the library after we open.

Tune in to watch live online performances of your favorite entertainers, including Magician Ari Paul Felber, Dinoman, Mad Science, the Trinidad Steel Drum Band, and more! Check our Events Calendar for specifics.
Summer Quest 2020 is made possible, in part, through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program and the following donors: Covenant Bank, Fred Beans, Friends of Yardley-Makefield Library, Friends of Doylestown Library, C&N, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, Waste Management, and Weis Markets.
Starting Monday, June 22
Curbside Pickup is Here!

Head to your library after you’ve received an email that your hold is ready for pickup. Text or call to let us know you’ve arrived and we’ll bring your items out to you. Visit Curbside Pickup for further instructions.

You can also sign up online for a library card and pick it up curbside. With your new card you can enjoy our e-library and put items on hold for Curbside Pickup. Visit Library Cards to apply.
Starting Monday, July 6
The seven branches of the Bucks County Free Library are open. We missed you! We will be smiling under our masks, and we know you’ll be smiling too.

Branch hours will be: Monday Thursday 10am 7pm; Friday 10am 6pm; Saturday 9am 5pm.

Our Doylestown branch will be open extended hours: Monday Thursday 10am 8pm; Friday 9am 6pm; Saturday 9am 5pm.

To see hours for District member libraries, visit our Locations page .
Some things have changed since the last time we saw each other. Here are some of the safety measures we’re taking:

  • You’ll be asked to wear a mask. You’ll see staff wearing masks too.
  • We’ll all practice social distancing.
  • Curbside Pickup will continue for your convenience even after we open our doors.
  • Our buildings will be open at 75% capacity.
  • Because the amount of equipment is limited to accommodate social distancing, all libraries will be limiting computer sign-ups to one hour per person per day.

For more information about our Phased Reopening Plan, please visit the COVID-19 page of our website.
