Enjoy a picnic lunch, and talks by area producers and farmers plus samples of their wares: vegetables, beef, organic herbs. Bring cash to sample locally brewed beer and wine. Don’t miss out on this gorgeous, calorie-burning day with our fellow foodinistas! Register at the EventBrite page at  www.slowfoodboston.org . The discount code is GUILD.

Looking Ahead!

What the heck is bastani sonnati?

This unique and delicious frozen confection is similar to frozen yogurt. At DIZIN FRUTTIBERRI, proprietor Ali Toloui proudly brings the flavors of his homeland (the shop is named for a ski resort in Iran) to Watertown. His signature flavor is made with milk, eggs, sugar, rosewater, saffron, vanilla and pistachios. Other flavors range from orchid and cardamom to good ole strawberry. We’ll visit this cute, neon-colored shop this July, and be given a complimentary tasting. Limit 10 people.
