angel tree ceremony
The 24th Annual Angel Tree Ceremony will take place on Monday, December 3rd from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Akron-Summit Public Library Auditorium. The ceremony will honor the memory of over 1,000 victims lost in Summit County because of violence over the last 24 years. We invite community members, friends, and family members of homicide victims to attend and remember their loved one by placing an Angel ornament on one of the Angel Trees on display. Read more!

We are also looking for donations to help offset expenses associated with the event including: baked goods, paper products, and keepsake items for families. If interested in contributing, please contact Kelly Kaufman, Director of Advancement at 330.376.0040.

make your campaign dollars go further
Wayside Furniture's After Thanksgiving Event is scheduled for the weekend following Thanksgiving, Friday, November 23th through Monday, November 26th. Each year, Wayside matches donations up to $100. This program is a great way to double your donation to Victim Assistance Program. You can also send your donation to Victim Assistance Program with a note to hold your donation for the Wayside Match Program.
We will be participating in the annual online campaign #Giving Tuesday! On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and student around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving. In 2017, $274 million was graciously donated worldwide.

We'll be having a fundraiser throughout the day to celebrate the cause. #GivingTuesday is a great way for people to engage the community and become part of a larger, worldwide movement that promotes generosity, while also benefiting organizations like Victim Assistance Program, and others through the world.
