Dear FACT Families, Friends, and Community Partners,

Pause. Take a deep breath. Check in with yourself. In these uncertain times, it can be easy to forget to take time out of the day to give yourself grace and just...be, whatever that looks like for you and your loved ones right now.

With that in mind, we want you to know that as we all navigate these uncharted waters, FACT Oregon is committed to being available as an ongoing resource for families of children experiencing disabilities.

Keeping in mind the impact this has on our children who receive special education services, we partnered with the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to create a letter, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, and resource guide, all of which are available on our newly created COVID-19 resource page . We will continue to update that page throughout the crisis. As you read this, more changes are taking place with ODE's issuance of their Distance Learning for All Guidance to districts. Be on the lookout for additional information on this in the next day or two.

As a reminder, while we have suspended all in-person events and trainings, we are excited to continue to offer our monthly webinars as well as a brand new, weekly video series on our Facebook page titled "We're All in This Together!" FACT Oregon staff share ideas, tips, and resources, as well as host conversations and interviews to help us all stay connected during this challenging time. We've also included information in this month's newsletter about a webinar series from our partners at OHSU surrounding accessing safe, healthy, and tasty food.

Please also know that our Family Support Specialists are available to answer questions, share information and resources, and to listen and brainstorm with you.   Call (503) 786-6082 or email  support@factoregon.org .

We're all in this together!
Roberta Dunn, FACT Oregon Executive Director
P.S: Please don't forget about the 2020 Census! It only takes a few minutes, and your participation directly impacts your local community, and the larger disability community across Oregon! Be like the Count, and make your family count!
COVID-19 Resources
These are uncertain and challenging times, but please know that we are here to help.

While not exhaustive, we've compiled a list of resources on our website surrounding COVID-19: Some, we have partnered on, and others have been recommended and used by FACT Oregon staff and families.

We will continue to update this page as we are able.
