After months of itineration, thousands of miles, hundreds of conversations, and countless prayers, we arrived back in Portugal on Wednesday, August 19! We are deeply thankful for every person and church who prayed, gave, encouraged, and partnered with us. Your faithfulness helped send us back to the place God has called us to serve.

Before leaving, we spent time with family and friends, saying "see you later." We try our best not to say goodbye, but we'll see you soon.

While working through jet lag and challenges of stuff sitting for 15 months, we began the familiar process of setting up our home again in Casainhos. With our Speed the Light car repaired and some new tires, we're back on the road. It feels wonderful to be back!

Our first Sunday back began at Mafra Assembleia de Deus with Pastors Paulo and Paula Vega. We have worshiped and ministered there before, but this visit carried special significance. We wanted to reconnect with our Portuguese brothers and sisters and reaffirm that we are here to serve alongside the Assemblies of God in Portugal as we advance the Gospel together.

That evening, we returned to LIFE Church. What a homecoming! We hugged familiar faces and met many new ones. More than 40 people gathered that evening, followed by a wonderful time of fellowship and getting acquainted.

Last Sunday was LIFE Around the Table. 38 people joined us, representing 16 nations.

We continue pressing forward with the 1-Kilometer Vision and our search for a new LIFE Church location near Oriente Station. During itineration, God unexpectedly connected us with several families who wanted to invest specifically in this vision. Some of those encounters happened in the most unlikely places. Each reminds us that God has been working ahead of us.

  The Lord has repeatedly brought the feeding of the five thousand to our hearts. Jesus placed five loaves and two fish into the disciples' hands and told them to distribute what they had. They did not begin with enough. They simply obeyed, stepped out in faith, and Jesus multiplied what He placed in their hands.



  That is how we are approaching the 1-Kilometer Vision: take what God has provided, obey His direction, and move forward in faith. The vision remains simple: create a place where people can find Jesus, become disciples, and receive training to fulfill His mission. We can't wait to see how God is going to take what we've been giving, multiply it, and meet the need of reaching the immigrant for Jesus.
