THE CITY OF UNLEY LIBRARIES
Access increased at Unley Libraries

As COVID-19 restrictions are further eased, we are pleased to announce that the Unley and Goodwood Libraries will operate to pre-COVID opening hours from Monday June 15.

Both Goodwood and Unley Libraries will reopen to their pre-COVID opening hours from Monday 15 June. Additional services will also resume, with customers able to:
  • Browse the collection
  • Book PC use for 30-minute sessions
  • Use photocopying and scanning services

We’re very excited to reinstate these services to our community, while adhering to COVID-19 Safe requirements as guided by the State Government. When you visit our libraries, you will see signage in place to remind us of physical distancing and hygiene guidelines, to protect you, other visitors and staff. The maximum number of visitors to each library (excluding staff) is 20 at one time.
This week
Hi everyone,

Wow what a busy day! Today saw the most customers come into Unley Civic Library since we opened our doors post-closure. Not only that, but we announced the wonderful news that library opening hours are returning to usual from Monday 15 June. Just a reminder that this means a 1pm-6pm opening time on Monday at Unley Civic Library, and a 10.30am-5pm opening at Goodwood Library. You will be able to come in to browse and borrow books, to read the newspapers, use 30min PC sessions, use the photocopier and printer (instructions below), and seek assistance from our friendly staff.

We have had a few questions about the toy library as well. I can tell you that Goodwood Toy Library, run by Goodwood Community Centre is open as usual from Monday 15 June. If you have Unley Toy Library items you can now return them to Unley Civic Library. Watch this space for more toy library updates.

Our holds shelves are looking quite full! If you have holds awaiting collection please come in to visit us or get in touch to cancel your requests.

I wanted to say a personal thank you to everyone who has approached me over the last few weeks and complimented the work we have been doing with our online children's programs. It means a great deal to know that we have made even a small difference in families' lives.

The Wife and the Widow by Christian White - 5/5 Stars from Caitlin

From the author of The Nowhere Child comes a thrilling new story, The Wife and the Widow. It’s dark, it’s ominous and the descriptions of a cosy seaside town during the off season are haunting. I love the way White drip feeds information to let you put the story together and just when you think you have the characters figured out, there’s a twist or turn.
