Dear Valued Patients and Friends,   We hope this newsletter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. We are here for you and we truly care for you!   We have been working hard to support you during this time. To help control the public spread of the COVID-19 virus and to help limit our use of PPE during this pandemic, we have followed Governor Walz’s executive order to limit our dental treatment to emergency care only. At the current time, the executive order continues through May 11.   We will use that week to finalize our preparations to reopen very soon, as we understand many of you have been patient in delaying your dental treatment needs. We deeply appreciate your understanding as our office has been closed. Seeing as excellent dental health is very important in overall health, our goal is to help you all return to your prescribed recare interval as soon as possible.  We urge you to complete our survey this month so we can better understand what has been on your mind.   We have also been doing a lot of research into how our reopening will look during the continued time of the pandemic. You will notice some changes in how we will be practicing in the near future and possibly for many more months.   We are here to assure you that we are now, and always have been, committed to keeping you safe! We will continue to diligently employ sterilization techniques and infection controls as recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).   We will be coming out with more specific information in the near future and will have a lot of information available to prepare you for “the new normal.” We want you to feel as confident as we do that any visit you make to our office is always a safe one. Please continue to read our correspondence and Like us on Facebook for all the latest information. Wonder Woman Shelly is this month's Wonder Woman. While the only team members actively at the office right now are Dr. Elizabeth, Dr. Jeff, and Alex, Shelly has been keeping herself very busy at home during the COVID-19 pandemic working hard to sew cloth masks for many of her friends, family, health care providers, and others who need them.  Shelly has also been a positive contributor to our weekly Zoom virtual team meetings and has been willing to check into many new ideas on how we can implement new systems when we are able to reopen. Shelly's smile and positive attitude keep us focused on what's most important during this time - our relationships!  Congratulations Shelly on your recognition. We'll have to get you your pin as soon as we can!
