Join our Rangers (and awesome volunteers) for a glimpse into the spookier side of Sycamore Grove. For those who make it back, this will be 1.5 mile journey. 
The later it gets, the scarier the monsters. Under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. $12 R/$13 NR REGISTER
Pool Pumpkin Patch & Splash (October 30, 3:00pm)
Bring the entire family and swim with the pumpkins. Entrance fee includes recreation swim and a pumpkin to decorate. REGISTER
Movie In the Park - Hocus Pocus
(October 30, 6:30pm)
Hocus Pocus will start around 6:30 p.m. Don't forget your chair, blanket, and favorite snacks!

SAY HELLO TO ERIC AND CHRISTINE
Livermore Area Recreation and Park District's Open Space team is putting an emphasis on programs and environmental education with their latest hires, two Open Space Interpreters, Eric Whiteside and Christine Cardosi.

They'll be educating and sharing the world of nature with park visitors, schools, and the community.
This month's Valley Wilds includes a photo contest at Sycamore Grove, Ranger program info, Sycamore Scares, and a breakdown of the Road Runner and the Wile E. Coyote by Ranger Dan. VIEW OCTOBER VALLEY WILDS
VOLUNTEERS
REMOTE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
Create Halloween Cards for Seniors in the Livermore Community. Card making kits will be provided.
LARPD VOLUNTEERS IN ACTION:
The fire at Sycamore Grove Park in August 2020 burned several Oak Trees. A dedicated group of volunteers hike the burned area monthly to observe and record the recovery of these trees. Volunteers plan to share their findings next Summer when they complete their documentation.

For now, they are looking forward to the Fall/Winter and are hoping for some rain to see how the trees rebound next Spring.

Historical Walking Tours (10/8, 10/27): There are two upcoming walking tours featuring the Pleasanton Historical Neighborhood Tour on October 8 and a special tour of Historic Trevarno Road on Wednesday October 27.

Rock Painting at Ravenswood Historic Site (10/20): Paint rocks for relaxation, gifts, or hiding them to be discovered. Bring your wildest aprons; enjoy refreshments, creativity and good company! Rocks and supplies are provided. REGISTER

Yoga For Self Care (Session begins 10/13): Discover how yoga poses and lyengar-inspired therapeutic techniques relieve physical and mental stress, increase flexibility, balance, enhance mind/body awareness and ability to relax. Taught in an easy-going, non-competitive atmosphere. suitable for all participants able to get to and from the floor. REGISTER
