Jon and Armando

Armando and his Big Brother, Jon, are approaching their two-year match anniversary this December, and what an incredible journey it’s been! Over the past year, the duo has packed their time together with adventures: grabbing breakfast, flying drones, hitting the golf course, and even cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

According to Armando’s mom, Kelley, Jon has made an extraordinary impact. “You don’t have enough time to listen to all the positive things I have to say about Jon!” she shared enthusiastically. Kelley has watched her son grow more confident and outgoing since being matched. “I would never expect my son to start playing golf!” she laughed, reflecting on the many new experiences Jon has introduced to Armando.

Now a Junior in high school, Armando is thinking ahead to his future, and he’s interested in pursuing a career in plumbing. His mom is endlessly grateful for the influence Jon has had along the way. “We hit the jackpot being matched with Jon!” she said.

Through shared experiences and steady support, Jon has helped Armando discover new interests, build confidence, and dream big, a perfect example of how mentorship changes lives.
