The G.A.R. Memorial Library will close, indefinitely, effective, Monday, March 16th.

We place our highest priority on the health and safety of all community members and our Library staff. We regret the inconvenience this closure may cause, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we all deal with the current, unprecedented situation.
Staff will continue to work in the building until further notice. We will be available to answer questions and assist with accessing online resources via telephone or email.
Anyone who does not have a library card and would like one is welcome to apply for a library card via phone or email during this time.

If you have materials to return, our book drop will remain open, however, items will not be checked in off your card immediately, so don't worry if you still see them on your account.

Call 978-363-1105 or email ask@westnewburylibrary.org.

Bring the Library Wherever You Go!
Try out our eResources.
In the meantime, remember that the Library also has many digital resources available to you for free, such as: e-books and e-audiobooks , streaming TV (coming soon with Hoopla), movies , music and digital subscriptions to newspapers and magazines . For information on how to access these resources please visit our website, westnewburylibrary.org or call to speak to a librarian, 978-363-1105.
Most of these require your 14-digit library card number and your PIN (usually last four digits of your phone number). If you need some guidance using any of these resources, please call the library or email us: ask@westnewburylibrary.org
Book Donation Drop Off and Book Sale Cancelled
The April 2020 Book Sale has been cancelled due to concern about COVID-19 . This was a difficult decision, as this is the biggest fundraiser the Friends of the Library hold and all funds go toward paying for library programs and events throughout the year. As soon as a new date is scheduled, we will post an update. We apologize for any inconvenience.
