Smith Clinic Newsletter .................................................................. June 2020
Dear Friend,

As COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc, it is shaking the faith of many. It is easy to fall prey to the fear of headlines and mankind's predictions. But we have a choice: we can choose to rest in the truth that the world and everything in it belongs to our sovereign Lord, where His rule extends over everything (even to microbes and viruses), or we can choose to camp out in a place of fear and anxiety.

Psalm 33:11 assures that, “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.” This means Jesus knows exactly where the virus is, where it is going next, who will get it and who won’t. And since our Savior always does what is wise and good, He has prudent purposes as it concerns this disease.

When will this outbreak pass? Well, as Job said in Job 42, “I know that [you, O Lord] can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” So, as we sit in waiting, let’s be people of light and hope. Yes, COVID-19 is disconcerting, but let's choose to rest and have confidence in the supreme sovereignty of God, praying fervently, sharing the good news of God’s mercy, resting in His purposes...all while washing our hands a lot!

Praying for you always,

The Smith Clinic Staff

Staff Spotlight: Meg Bolton

The Smith Clinic is thrilled to introduce you to the newest addition to our staff: Physical Therapist, Meg Bolton. A native Memphian, Meg received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, and most recently, her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

A fun fact about Meg? She is a twin! Her twin brother is a 2nd year medical student at UTHSC, and their younger brother is currently a baseball player in college. Meg is very close to her family, and she frequently enjoys playing them in games for some friendly competition.

When Meg is not spending time with family, she enjoys watching movies, exercising & playing sports, going on walks with friends, and painting with her mom in her art studio. She has also recently developed a fondness for pickle ball!

When discussing why she chose physical therapy as a career path, Meg explained, "I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to be a part of the Healthcare industry and have also been passionate about exercising. I’ve experienced first-hand how life-changing Physical Therapy is during a time of chronic pain. Having seen and experienced how beneficial PT can be is what lead to me to pursue a career in Physical Therapy so that in return I may help give others that enhanced quality of life that I’ve received. I also value the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and try to be a light during a time of pain and uncertainty."

Upon being asked about her recent decision to join the Smith Clinic, Meg had the following to say, "I’m most excited about joining the Smith Clinic family, because of the positive and loving environment they embody. It is a family atmosphere, and I respect the way everyone performs their jobs and how well they serve their patients."

Please join us in welcoming Meg to the clinic...we know all of our patients and guests will love her as much as we do!
The Smith Clinic celebrated its 20 year anniversary on May 11th!
We are so grateful for all of the love and support the past two decades, most especially these last few months. Thank you for believing in us...we forward to MANY more years of serving you!
It is no secret that COVID-19 has impacted our lives more than anything in recent history. Our goal throughout this crisis has been and continues to be to provide the same level of service and quality of care we have always strived to provide. This is why we have remained open throughout the pandemic and are currently operating with the following hours:

Monday-Thursday 7AM – 6PM
Friday 7AM-4PM
Saturday-Sunday: CLOSED

As we continue to monitor the virus, we ask that all patients and guests who are within 6 feet of another individual wear masks while inside the clinic. If you do not have a mask, we are happy to provide one for you.

To our fitness members: out of precaution, our fitness program will remain on hold for now. We will keep you abreast of any changes by July 1st. We appreciate your understanding.

We are so grateful for your continued trust in The Smith Clinic and look forward to seeing you very soon!
